Big Sky Renaissance Faire
Stevensville's own annual Renfair occurs the last weekend in June! Renfair is truly one of our favorite celebrations of the year! Special events include a Friday festival with a parade, a wedding (aargh... that be a pirate wedding), the Queen's Feast, Jousting, Sword swallowing, Renaissance demonstrations, Renaissance games, craft and costume vendors, and so much more! The proceeds of the 2014 Big Sky Renaissance Faire supported the Stevensville Pantry Partners Food Bank.
Participants are welcome to 'come as you are' or dress in full costume. There were plenty of people dressed in both! We love to stop by the costume vendor booths to check out new accessories! Last year's fav vendor was a young man creating chainmail armour right before our eyes! Costumes, like the ones above, can also be rented at the faire.
Our family always looks forward to the faire food! Pasties, or meat pies, made by a local chef, are among the top of the list! Second only to the giant turkey legs! The faire showcases several local BBQ vendors also. What would a faire be without mead and ale???
You don't want to miss the tents for our local folks that craft the King's Mead or Blacksmith Brewering Company ales!
The Big Sky Renfair hosts several shows that include traditional Renaissance jousting games, acrobats, and jesters, etc. There are games for adults and children. The fair is family friendly and affordable.
The faire is organized by volunteers, a true community effort! All proceeds of the faire are donated to Stevensville charities.
Renfair has become a fun tradition in Stevensville. Locals and guest alike have a great time under the Big Sky! We hope you'll join us for 2015!
