Montana is Magical in Winter
Winter is fun in the Bitterroot Valley: Several excellent Ski Areas are located nearby. The skiing at Lost Trail Powder Mountain, Montana Snowbowl, Discovery Ski Area and Maverick Mountain is so good that you will be surprised at the crowds are so thin. A 'post ski' massage is sure to make you feel great!
Groomed Cross-country trails and fantastic backcountry skiing, are also available nearby. If you are not a skiier, snowshoeing and hiking are great ways to get out and experience a Montana winter. The Bitterroot National Forest offers dozens of nearby trailheads for that are beautiful year round. Heck, you may even want to take a winter hike to the Jerry Johnson natural hot springs and soak a while!
